The Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the Mountains of the Moon, are a range of mountains located in East Africa, straddling the border between Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). These mountains are renowned for their stunning beauty, dramatic peaks, and unique flora and fauna stretching stretch for about 120 kilometers (75 miles) along the border between Uganda and the DRC. They are part of the Albertine Rift, which is the western branch of the East African Rift.
