The Italian embassy gave its own appreciation and support, through the direct intervention of H.E. the Ambassador, to the planning of the above mentioned research. In particular, the organisation of the researches has been done thanks also to the active participation of the responsible of the organising committee of the celebrations for the centenary, Mr. Pietro Averono, who is also the responsible of the cultural office of the Italian Embassy.

AVSI - Internatiolan Volunteers' Service Association

The italian NGO AVSI provides the fundamental logistic support to the researches and collaborates to the activities of the educational program. The Italian organization find direct support in Uganda through AVSI representative, doctor Filippo Ciantia.

University of Milan - Department of Earth Science

A cooperation agreement in the glaciological field is already active between the University of Milan and the University of Brescia.
